I want to inform you of a benefit that a friend Lori Locke has initiated; and where I’ll be one of many performing.

The Lift Up Benefit Concert - Bringing independence for those in need of wheelchair lifts.

Date:  March 14th, 2009 at 2-4:30 P.M.

Presented by Southwest Center for Independent Living and the Jim 
Stafford Theatre.

Features performers: Barbara Fairchild, Jim Stafford, Presleys, Baldknobbers, Marvin Short, Lori Locke, Lance Griffith, and other friends.

Lori Locke was in a terrible car accident where she was paralyzed from the waist down.  She was my music writing partner, and best friend.   She has come a long way in 5 years, and now can stand, lift one of her legs, and is still pursuing music the best she can.  She would like to thank all who helped her through the struggles of recovery, and hopes to help others benefit from what she had happen to her.

So many of you have asked about my new 2-CD compilation.  I reworked a few things, and you can order it direct from me.  Just send me an email, lgriffithranch@centurytel.net , and I’ll get one out to you.  

I should mention that I have had to postpone the release of my newest work, however most of the songs are written, we just need some studio and mixing time.  The downturn in the economy has revised my plans.  I am grateful that my first 2 albums, ‘Another Cold Night’, and ‘On the Verge’ have been gaining some new popularity.  Please check my website frequently, as I plan on listing music clips of the new material as I publish them.

We bought your CD when we were at Tony’s house.  We always enjoy your playing when you’re with Tony, but didn’t know you did your own country music.  We listened to your CD on the way home from Branson to Tuttle, OK.  We liked it, especially Killer Tonight, Cadillac Wearing Shoes (that cracked me up!) and my husband’s favorite, The Picture, a tear-jerker for sure. 

 

We’re no music critics, but if you can put out albums like this, we’d buy them.  We were amazed at your song writing ability.  I’m struggling to write this and just express our feelings about your music, and you can write an album like that,  Wow!  And we thought you could just play Elvis and Tony music!

 

No joke, Lance.  We think you’re very talented and you need to shine your light out to the country audiences.

I’ve had a chance to talk to Big Al Weekly from KRVN, and there is new demand for some of my classic gospel music.  

More Radio Stations!
We been in contact with some long time friends in OK.  KKNG, KKEN and many in the I-40 Corridor.  A friend in Elk City gave me a wonderful compliment.
